Iskren Gyumyushev scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Antoan Chakúrski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 7 minutes into the match, Botev FC's goal looked a bit too open when Botyo Lischev came free, but Antoan Chakúrski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Botyo Lischev during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Botev FC booed when Sabundzhilar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Botyo Lischev didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Botev FC's Stefan Akov tried to score from far away in the 12th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Prokopi Mitev's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 17thth minute, Branimir Tzutzekov skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 20 minutes into the match, Botev FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ginyo Patronev came free, but Antoan Chakúrski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sabundzhilar's Branimir Tzutzekov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peyo Beyazov in the 23rd minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Botev FC's goal looked a bit too open when Iskren Gyumyushev came free, but Antoan Chakúrski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee showed Slavey Golubarev the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Prokopi Mitev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Branimir Tzutzekov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Ginyo Patronev managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sabundzhilar's supporters rose to their feet, but Ginyo Patronev was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antoan Chakúrski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Peyo Beyazov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sabundzhilar's Branimir Tzutzekov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prokopi Mitev in the 59th minute of play. Prokopi Mitev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Branimir Tzutzekov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Prokopi Mitev's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Peyo Beyazov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd match minute, Sabundzhilar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Botyo Lischev to maneuver through the defense.
