The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, FC Ostrovche's goal looked a bit too open when Lyudmil Savev came free, but Andrey Horozov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stavri Ubinov got free with Radan Viktorov in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Stavri Ubinov might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Radan Viktorov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stavri Ubinov ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Topolovitsa's goalkeeper Radan Viktorov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 2-0 became the score in the 23rd minute when Stavri Ubinov elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 32nd minute of the match, Stavri Ubinov got a very nice opportunity to score, but Radan Viktorov was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 38th minute, Zhecho Tupankov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 39 minutes into the match, FC Ostrovche's Bratan Malinski broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Zhecho Tupankov's late challenge caught a FC Ostrovche's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zhecho Tupankov helped the player get up and apologised. Zhecho Tupankov kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Andrey Horozov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lyudmil Savev in the 46th minute of the match. After having played for 47 minutes, Lyudmil Savev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Topolovitsa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lyudmil Savev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Velko Rankov made the kick off in the second half. Lyudmil Savev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marin Machirski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Andrey Horozov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marin Machirski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrey Horozov having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Topolovitsa's zone, Velko Rankov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Radan Viktorov came out of the goal and Velko Rankov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zhecho Tupankov hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Stavri Ubinov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Velko Rankov in the 64th minute of play forced Topolovitsa's goalkeeper Radan Viktorov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Velko Rankov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Radan Viktorov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 67 minutes, Velko Rankov made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Topolovitsa's Radan Viktorov tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Marin Machirski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrey Horozov having to interfere. If Lyudmil Savev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lyudmil Savev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Andrey Horozov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stavri Ubinov in the 78th minute of play forced Topolovitsa's goalkeeper Radan Viktorov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Radan Viktorov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stavri Ubinov in the 83rd minute of play. FC Ostrovche's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bratan Malinski in the 85th minute. Bratan Malinski made a great header on FC Ostrovche's corner, it was just that Topolovitsa's Radan Viktorov managed to reach the ball for a save. 86 minutes into the game, Stavri Ubinov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Radan Viktorov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 90th minute Lyudmil Savev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrey Horozov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Ostrovche's Andrey Horozov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save FC Ostrovche from getting a goal against them. Marin Machirski struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Andrey Horozov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Topolovitsa. Radan Viktorov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Velko Rankov in the 96th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Ostrovche fans cheered their team off the field, for while Topolovitsa had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
