The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Golden Sands's zone, Stoycho Popinski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Spiro Batakliev came out of the goal and Stoycho Popinski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ilko Draganov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the game, Milyo Malkovski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Golden Sands's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Vyetren the free kick. Milyo Malkovski kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gerasim Totov during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 25 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Vyetren! Nedyalko Vunchev placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Tenyo Vakliev kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Golden Sands's Tzvetan Bosev got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yonko Kirliev scored 0-1 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mladen Mandev, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 44 minutes into the match, Golden Sands's goal looked a bit too open when Nano Dafov came free, but Spiro Batakliev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tzvetan Bosev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The FC Vyetren players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Golden Sands were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Borimir Zarichinov was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Stoycho Popinski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ilko Draganov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Spiro Batakliev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ilko Draganov in the 61st minute of play forced Golden Sands's goalkeeper Spiro Batakliev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute, Nano Dafov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Golden Sands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nedyalko Vunchev in the 68th minute. Nedyalko Vunchev made a great header on Golden Sands's corner, it was just that FC Vyetren's Mladen Mandev managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yonko Kirliev in the 70th minute of play forced FC Vyetren's goalkeeper Mladen Mandev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mladen Mandev didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Golden Sands. 89 minutes into the match, FC Vyetren's goalkeeper Mladen Mandev had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tzvetan Bosev. When Ilko Draganov came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the FC Vyetren fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ilko Draganov couldn't finish the play. If Borimir Zarichinov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see FC Vyetren lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
