With a couple of smart ball manuevers Temelko Madzhunov in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tinko Paunovski saved Crvena zvezda from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Todor Dimitrov in the 35th minute of play forced Crvena zvezda's goalkeeper Tinko Paunovski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valkan Bonchev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Leandro Bidari made a huge save. Valkan Bonchev scored 1-1 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leandro Bidari, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of SVETKAVICA booed when Crvena zvezda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dobri Rachev didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arso Simonov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tinko Paunovski was out of position in the 51 minute of play, and Dido Ralchevski capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dido Ralchevski really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Temelko Madzhunov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Tinko Paunovski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arso Simonov struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Leandro Bidari didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Crvena zvezda. Dido Ralchevski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tinko Paunovski having to interfere. Leandro Bidari came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Crvena zvezda's Arso Simonov. But to his dismay, Arso Simonov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Yuli Shumanski hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute Arso Simonov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leandro Bidari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Dido Ralchevski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tinko Paunovski was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. After 83 played minutes SVETKAVICA got a freekick which was hit by Goran Dokov. Valkan Bonchev hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 91st minute, Dido Ralchevski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leandro Bidari didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Valkan Bonchev went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. SVETKAVICA's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Crvena zvezda had won, even though SVETKAVICA had held more of the ball.
