Presiyan Vrabchev hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Acho Lishev made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Lyubomir Popyordanov sent off a good shot on target. 0-1 became the score in the 12th minute when Petyo Pashaliyski elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Petyo Pashaliyski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. CSKA Serdar's Gyuro Miloykov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petyo Pashaliyski in the 17th minute of play. Lyubomir Popyordanov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bozhidar Alipiev hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Acho Lishev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iliya Shikalanov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Petyo Pashaliyski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gyuro Miloykov was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Petyo Pashaliyski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anatoli Ninchev in the 29th minute of play forced CSKA Serdar's goalkeeper Gyuro Miloykov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 31 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Esbjerg fB! After 34 minutes, Vangel Koparanov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Esbjerg fB and the CSKA Serdar players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 34th minute, Vangel Koparanov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 38 minutes into the match, Esbjerg fB's goal looked a bit too open when Iliya Shikalanov came free, but Acho Lishev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Petyo Pashaliyski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gyuro Miloykov was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The CSKA Serdar players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Esbjerg fB were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Petyo Pashaliyski to make the kick off. Petyo Pashaliyski struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Gyuro Miloykov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Esbjerg fB. If Petyo Pashaliyski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lyubomir Popyordanov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Acho Lishev having to interfere. Prodan Rusev struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Acho Lishev didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CSKA Serdar. In the 89th minute, Vangel Koparanov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Iliya Shikalanov hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Petyo Pashaliyski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gyuro Miloykov having to interfere. When the match was over Esbjerg fB could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than CSKA Serdar throughout the match.
