Dragolyub Vúrbenov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th minute, Valkan Spasunov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes into the game, Beroe-1979's Stoil Platikanov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stoimen Sharlandzhiev made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marko Pargov in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stoimen Sharlandzhiev prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by CSKA SF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dencho Skenderski was slow to take the kick. During this time Beroe-1979's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Beroe-1979's corner Dencho Skenderski fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Stoimen Sharlandzhiev quite easily take care of the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Marko Pargov dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Stoimen Sharlandzhiev, 2-0. Stoil Platikanov struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Stoimen Sharlandzhiev didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Beroe-1979.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marko Pargov to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Zlatan Laptev was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CSKA SF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Beroe-1979 the free kick. Marko Pargov scored 3-0 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stoimen Sharlandzhiev, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stoil Platikanov in the 62nd minute of play forced CSKA SF's goalkeeper Stoimen Sharlandzhiev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dancho Búrnev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Bogomil Ilov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Trendafil Hadzhihristov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marko Pargov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stoimen Sharlandzhiev having to interfere. In the 79th minute of the match Dencho Skenderski shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Stoimen Sharlandzhiev showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 83rd minute, Stoil Platikanov left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Beroe-1979 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. The supporters of Beroe-1979 booed when CSKA SF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bozhin Tzalev didn't get a good kick on the ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Stoimen Sharlandzhiev showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Beroe-1979's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
