If Svetlin Dervenski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jan Šourek hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Ilko Zdravev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Kaloyan Stefchov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Svetlin Dervenski made a precise shot to the right of Kaloyan Stefchov. ПФК Левски 1914's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. ПФК Левски 1914's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marin Petkov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in CSKA's zone, Jan Šourek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stanko Barov came out of the goal and Jan Šourek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Marin Petkov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marin Petkov in the 45th minute of play forced CSKA's goalkeeper Stanko Barov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute, Marin Petkov left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ПФК Левски 1914 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marin Petkov to strike the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, CSKA's goal looked a bit too open when Marin Petkov came free, but Stanko Barov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kaloyan Stefchov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ilko Zdravev in the 68th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Jan Šourek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind CSKA's goalkeeper Stanko Barov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Stanko Barov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marin Petkov in the 81st minute of play. Stanko Barov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jan Šourek went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Ganyo Dushanov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Stanko Barov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Jan Šourek got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 92 minutes into the match, Marin Petkov dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Stanko Barov, 2-4. 97 minutes into the match, CSKA's goalkeeper Stanko Barov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jan Šourek. ПФК Левски 1914 played a much better game than CSKA and deserved their victory. The CSKA players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
