The audience thought a goal was coming when Kamen Shipochki got free with Bogomil Ilov in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mavrudi Nedelchev charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mavrudi Nedelchev the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Kamen Shipochki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bogomil Ilov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moise Oprea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute Marko Pargov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Huben Tzurinski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute, Kamen Shipochki ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bogomil Ilov was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. A collision led to Tottenham Hotspur FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Kuncho Dúbov hit a great ball. Bogomil Ilov came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Tottenham Hotspur FC's Kamen Shipochki. But to his dismay, Kamen Shipochki quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Kamen Shipochkis short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Bogomil Ilov to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Kamen Shipochki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Beroe-1979's Bogomil Ilov got control of the ball when Bozhko Lozev tried to sneak it across the goal line.

Tottenham Hotspur FC's Huben Tzurinski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Tottenham Hotspur FC from getting a goal against them. In the 62nd minute, Vencho Hitrov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Tottenham Hotspur FC's Kamen Shipochki in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Beroe-1979's goalie prevented a goal. Chavdar Karavelov hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 70thth minute of the game Kamen Shipochki who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Beroe-1979's Bogomil Ilov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 70th match minute, Beroe-1979 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valkan Spasunov to maneuver through the defense. Bogomil Ilov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mincho Vakarelski in the 71st minute of the match. Tottenham Hotspur FC's Huben Tzurinski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marko Pargov in the 73rd minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Mincho Vakarelski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bogomil Ilov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kamen Shipochki in the 91st minute of play. The supporters of Tottenham Hotspur FC booed when Beroe-1979 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trendafil Hadzhihristov didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Tottenham Hotspur FC had played much better football throughout.
