After a rather tough play, FC Dunav Ruse's Vitomir Zyumbyulev got a free kick in the 4th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Evstati Yarev managed to get in a good position for a shot. AFC Ajax's supporters rose to their feet, but Evstati Yarev was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raycho Kalchishkov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 7 minutes into the match, FC Dunav Ruse's goal looked a bit too open when Bobi Karavasilev came free, but Raycho Kalchishkov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zlatan Kazúmski kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Zlatan Kazúmski's late challenge caught a FC Dunav Ruse's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Dobromir Alandzhiyski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Spiro Malchev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Spas Ferkov hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roman Yanachkov in the 24th minute of play forced FC Dunav Ruse's goalkeeper Raycho Kalchishkov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute, Alexey Gelev got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 29th minute, Dobromir Alandzhiyski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Metodi Temelakiev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Spiro Malchev having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, FC Dunav Ruse's Spas Ferkov seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Spas Ferkov the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC Dunav Ruse protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Spas Ferkov had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 32 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Dunav Ruse! After having played for 43 minutes, Dobromir Alandzhiyski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Dunav Ruse's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dobromir Alandzhiyski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gencho Tzokev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Spiro Malchev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dobromir Alandzhiyski did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Spiro Malchev 47 minutes into the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dobromir Alandzhiyski was the one to do the kick off. Zlatan Kazúmski got his second yellow card in the match during the 54th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Zlatan Kazúmski kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Gencho Tzokev shot a long shot in the 55th minute and a light blocked Spiro Malchev hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 2-1. If Dobromir Alandzhiyski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind AFC Ajax's goalkeeper Spiro Malchev, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Roman Yanachkovs short, quick shot in the 84thth minute got Raycho Kalchishkov to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Spiro Malchev came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Dunav Ruse's Galin Bratovanov. But to his dismay, Galin Bratovanov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Spiro Malchev came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Dunav Ruse's Sevdalin Srúndev. But to his dismay, Sevdalin Srúndev quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. FC Dunav Ruse walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
