Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Asen Gotov took the kick off in the first half of the match. Vaklin Kanin came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Magardzhitsa's Yoncho Babadzhanov. But to his dismay, Yoncho Babadzhanov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 9th match minute, Schalke04 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karamfil Panicharov to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute of the match Miroslav Gavalyugov sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Roman Karidov skillfully saved the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Traycho Kilyovski in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vaklin Kanin saved Schalke04 from getting behind. 21 minutes into the match, Schalke04's goal looked a bit too open when Traycho Kilyovski came free, but Vaklin Kanin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Yoncho Babadzhanov made a precise shot to the right of Vaklin Kanin. Schalke04's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Velizar Bosolov took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vaklin Kanin. Schalke04's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 26th match minute, Schalke04 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bogomil Groshkov to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute Traycho Kilyovski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vaklin Kanin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 32 played minutes Asen Gotov rounded Magardzhitsa's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. Schalke04's Prodan Zankov got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sava Musakov hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. When Velyo Gradishki fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Magardzhitsa's protests and gave Velyo Gradishki a yellow card for diving instead. Velyo Gradishki kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Traycho Kilyovski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Magardzhitsa were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Traycho Kilyovski was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Stoimen Chernogorov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Magardzhitsa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Schalke04 the free kick. In the 53rd minute, Stoimen Chernogorov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Prodan Zankov came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Schalke04 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Prodan Zankov couldn't finish the play. Roman Karidov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prodan Zankov, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Yoncho Babadzhanov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vaklin Kanin having to interfere. Bogomil Groshkov hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Traycho Kilyovski in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vaklin Kanin saved Schalke04 from getting behind. After 64 minutes, Traycho Kilyovski made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Schalke04's Vaklin Kanin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Schalke04 booed when Magardzhitsa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Velizar Bosolov didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ancho Ploshtakov in the 75th minute of play forced Magardzhitsa's goalkeeper Roman Karidov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Prodan Zankov might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roman Karidov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Prodan Zankov ran back to his position shaking his head. Yoncho Babadzhanov scored 1-4 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vaklin Kanin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Traycho Kilyovski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Magardzhitsa's Roman Karidov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prodan Zankov in the 92nd minute of play. In the 95th minute, Prodan Zankov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roman Karidov was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4.
