The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Sabol's Violet Valentinov got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Damyan Hadzhiiliev struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Maksim Ederov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sabol. 10 minutes into the game, Sabol's Damyan Hadzhiiliev nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maksim Ederov made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Venko Kodzheykov hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Damyan Hadzhiiliev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maksim Ederov having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Violet Valentinov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Evstati Lischev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafail Serkedzhiev, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Newton Heath's Maksim Ederov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafim Chepishev in the 28th minute of play. Maksim Ederov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damyan Hadzhiiliev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Evstati Lischev didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Venko Kodzheykov went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Sabol's zone, Gavril Rasolkov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evstati Lischev came out of the goal and Gavril Rasolkov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rafail Serkedzhiev to strike the kick off in the second half. Evstati Lischev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miho Drakev in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 53rd match minute, Sabol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Violet Valentinov to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves Serafim Chepishev could shoot a difficult shot in the 59th minute, which Maksim Ederov however easily saved by the left post. 62 minutes into the game, Newton Heath's Rafail Serkedzhiev nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Evstati Lischev made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Evstati Lischev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Venko Kodzheykov in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Bratan Radunchev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rd minute of the match Stoyko Muhtarov sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Evstati Lischev skillfully saved the ball. Damyan Hadzhiiliev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Damyan Hadzhiiliev managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sabol's supporters rose to their feet, but Damyan Hadzhiiliev was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maksim Ederov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 83 minutes into the match, Damyan Hadzhiiliev dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Maksim Ederov, 2-2. In the 87th minute Damyan Hadzhiiliev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maksim Ederov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
