An unexpectedly hard shot by Dragolyub Ruevski in the 26th minute of play forced Alika's goalkeeper Belcho Vetov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lazar Todorchev made in the 43rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Alika's Zlatko Topalov. With a little luck, Alika's Belcho Vetov got control of the ball when Kiril Benov tried to sneak it across the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dragolyub Ruevski to make the kick off. Dragolyub Ruevski scored 2-0 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Belcho Vetov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
