The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Grigorevo getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Encho Kiselinchev breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Neycho Rangachev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Penko Kozovski in the 33rd minute of play. 37 minutes into the game, Yavor Geshtakov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Encho Kiselinchev was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Grigorevo defense, Vesko Kobilarov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Neycho Rangachev. The Grigorevo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Neycho Rangachev should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Penko Kozovski made the kick off in the second half. Vesko Kobilarov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Neycho Rangachev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Penko Kozovski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Neycho Rangachev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Penko Kozovski in the 90th minute of play. If Penko Kozovski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded.
