Benjamin Toli kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. After 9 played minutes FK Atletiko-Varna got a freekick which was hit by Zbigniew Iwaszko. After 13 minutes, Nedyalko Ribarov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mandritsa and the FK Atletiko-Varna players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruslan Nasev in the 17th minute of play forced Mandritsa's goalkeeper Georgi Nedkov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 18 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mandritsa! In the 21st minute there was a penalty for FK Atletiko-Varna. Zé Augusto de Lara stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Georgi Nedkov. 1-1. If Ruslan Nasev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Georgi Nedkov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivaylo Vrachovski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the match, FK Atletiko-Varna's goalkeeper Aadam Vahter had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Radostin Matakiev. Radostin Matakiev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aadam Vahter having to interfere. Ivaylo Vrachovski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ivaylo Vrachovski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Georgi Nedkov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruslan Nasev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Georgi Nedkov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivaylo Vrachovski in the 54th minute of the match. Tzvetoslav Tosev hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. The supporters of FK Atletiko-Varna booed when Mandritsa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karamfil Doktorov didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute Ruslan Nasev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georgi Nedkov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Parvan Gasparov made in the 63rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Vidyo Triov immediately put the ball in play. Georgi Nedkov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivaylo Vrachovski, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Georgi Nedkov came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by FK Atletiko-Varna's Ivaylo Vrachovski. But to his dismay, Ivaylo Vrachovski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Mandritsa's Georgi Nedkov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omurtag Yankulov in the 74th minute of play. Aadam Vahter stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Radostin Matakiev's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Aadam Vahter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin Toli, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Zé Augusto de Lara's late challenge caught a Mandritsa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zé Augusto de Lara helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to FK Atletiko-Varna getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Zé Augusto de Lara hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Radostin Matakiev managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mandritsa's supporters rose to their feet, but Radostin Matakiev was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aadam Vahter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aadam Vahter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radostin Matakiev, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Georgi Nedkov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruslan Nasev in the 86th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Mandritsa's zone, Ivaylo Vrachovski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Georgi Nedkov came out of the goal and Ivaylo Vrachovski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 89th minute, Lokman Aksungur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benjamin Toli hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Mandritsa succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though FK Atletiko-Varna had controlled the match.
