The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Svilen Kavlakov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evstati Karamanchev having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, FC Discovery team's goalkeeper Evstati Karamanchev had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vencho Kutov. After 22 played minutes FC Discovery team got a freekick which was hit by Anzhelo Kulov. Vihar Kalúpchiev hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Stavri Bitolski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evstati Karamanchev having to interfere. Evstati Karamanchev stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Svilen Kavlakov's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. In the 33rd minute, FC Discovery team's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Vencho Kutov fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Evstati Karamanchev was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Svilen Kavlakov showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 34 minute of play. Mladen Izvorski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nenko Sungarski in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 56th minute, Evlogi Sakarov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 60 minutes into the match, FC Discovery team's goal looked a bit too open when Svilen Kavlakov came free, but Evstati Karamanchev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Daniel Nemtzov fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Discovery team's protests and gave Daniel Nemtzov a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Yavashkioy booed when FC Discovery team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Nemtzov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evstati Karamanchev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vencho Kutov in the 62nd minute of play. Bogomil Toshev struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Mladen Izvorski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Discovery team. When Vihar Kalúpchiev fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Discovery team's protests and gave Vihar Kalúpchiev a yellow card for diving instead. Vihar Kalúpchiev hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Svilen Kavlakov charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Svilen Kavlakov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of FC Discovery team booed when Yavashkioy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Svilen Kavlakov didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute, Bogomil Toshev ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mladen Izvorski was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. If Nenko Sungarski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bogomil Toshev in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mladen Izvorski saved Yavashkioy from getting behind. Nenko Sungarski scored 1-2 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mladen Izvorski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 78th minute, Nenko Sungarski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Svilen Kavlakov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Evstati Karamanchev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mladen Izvorski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bogomil Toshev, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. If Nenko Sungarski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nenko Sungarski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mladen Izvorski having to interfere. Neycho Chukov hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. FC Discovery team's Nenko Sungarski got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
