Stanko Karakolev came out of the goal and Roman Spiridonov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 24th match minute, FC Barcelona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boris Protogerov to maneuver through the defense. Bocho Draev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matey Belorechki, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Boris Protogerov scored 1-2 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bocho Draev, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antonio Daganov in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stanko Karakolev saved FC Barcelona from getting behind. 33 minutes into the game, FK Ronaldo's Kuncho Koshlukov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stanko Karakolev made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matey Belorechki got free with Bocho Draev in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Stanko Karakolev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valeri Novkov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roman Spiridonov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Roman Spiridonov hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Stanko Karakolev, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. FK Ronaldo's Bocho Draev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lyubomir Sivkov in the 90th minute of play.
