In the 4th minute, Evgeni Borchev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute Toshko Vúkov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvio Kusko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anastas Gulyashki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Silvio Kusko made a huge save. Benislav Shtúrbanov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Andrey Zashev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Penko Kerezov made in the 32nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Zheko Kerenski immediately put the ball in play. 39 minutes into the match, THE RED STARS's goalkeeper Silvio Kusko had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anastas Gulyashki. Dimitar Stanev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrey Zashev having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 52nd minute, THE RED STARS's Benislav Shtúrbanov ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Andrey Zashev. Andrey Zashev yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zheko Kerenski in the 56th minute of play forced THE RED STARS's goalkeeper Silvio Kusko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes into the game, Zheko Kerenski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vrabca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave THE RED STARS the free kick. Zheko Kerenski hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Andrey Zashev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentin Vrazhilov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zheko Kerenski in the 73rd minute of play forced THE RED STARS's goalkeeper Silvio Kusko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 77 minutes into the match, THE RED STARS's Benislav Shtúrbanov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andrey Zashev narrowly saved just below the crossbar. THE RED STARS's Silvio Kusko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zheko Kerenski in the 82nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Vrabca's zone, Valentin Vrazhilov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andrey Zashev came out of the goal and Valentin Vrazhilov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valentin Vrazhilov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 90th minute, Zheko Kerenski made a precise shot to the right of Silvio Kusko. THE RED STARS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Silvio Kusko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zheko Kerenski in the 95th minute of play.
