Evstati Komitski in the 22ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Filippo Cappucci, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Galatasaray SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Momchil Vatahov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Filippo Cappucci showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evrosi Politov in the 59th minute of the match. Evstati Komitski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filippo Cappucci breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 86th minute, Evstati Komitski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Galatasaray SK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. Filippo Cappucci stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Momchil Vatahov's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Chelsea FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Galatasaray SK.
