Filippo Cappucci was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Chelsea FC's Filippo Cappucci played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nedko Benkov in the 10th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antim Zabunov during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Chelsea FC booed when FC VASILEND was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antim Zabunov didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC VASILEND's zone, Temelko Smochevski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vitan Dzhurov came out of the goal and Temelko Smochevski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC VASILEND's goalkeeper Vitan Dzhurov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vitan Dzhurov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zhelyazko Buzin in the 23rd minute of the match. The supporters of FC VASILEND booed when Chelsea FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nayden Simidchiev didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute, Nayden Simidchiev fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Vitan Dzhurov, passed just outside the right post. Filippo Cappucci came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by FC VASILEND's Denimir Maykov. But to his dismay, Denimir Maykov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 33rd minute, Botyo Radinov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Filippo Cappucci was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Nedko Benkov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Avgustin Trichkov's late challenge caught a FC VASILEND's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Avgustin Trichkov helped the player get up and apologised. After 37 played minutes Chelsea FC got a freekick which was hit by Avgustin Trichkov. After some careless play in the Chelsea FC defense, Nedko Benkov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Filippo Cappucci. The Chelsea FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Filippo Cappucci should have stopped the shot. Nedko Benkov hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Filippo Cappucci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nedko Benkov in the 43rd minute of play. Vitan Dzhurov was out of position in the 48 minute of play, and Zhelyazko Buzin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zhelyazko Buzin really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nayden Simidchiev made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Zlatko Duhtev got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Temelko Obretenov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Filippo Cappucci made a huge save. Denimir Maykov received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Filippo Cappucci came out and tried to block the shot, but Denimir Maykov slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 73rd minute. 76 minutes into the match, Zhelyazko Buzin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vitan Dzhurov. FC VASILEND's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zhelyazko Buzin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-5. After 85 played minutes FC VASILEND got a freekick which was hit by Nedko Benkov. When Zhelyazko Buzin came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Chelsea FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zhelyazko Buzin couldn't finish the play. Filippo Cappucci made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nedko Benkov in the 93rd minute. In the 94th minute, Anastas Chipev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rashko Krotev got free with Filippo Cappucci in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC VASILEND eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
