Filippo Cappucci made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Kostadin Bunchev sent off a good shot on target. Stoil Zachev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zhelyazko Buzin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8th minute Zlatko Duhtev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stoil Zachev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th match minute, Chelsea FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toma Angelski to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Chelsea FC booed when Belasitsa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Slavey Pedev didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute, Belasitsa's Anko Shiyankov seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Anko Shiyankov the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Belasitsa protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Anko Shiyankov had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Belasitsa fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 17th minute. Penalty! Stoil Zachev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zhelyazko Buzin in the 22nd minute of the match. Petyo Kaldarúmov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filippo Cappucci having to interfere. Dimo Kulikov hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. 45 minutes into the match, Belasitsa's goal looked a bit too open when Zhelyazko Buzin came free, but Stoil Zachev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nayden Simidchiev to strike the kick off in the second half. Slavey Pedev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Filippo Cappucci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Belasitsa getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Sava Lipev hit a great ball. After 67 played minutes Chelsea FC got a freekick which was hit by Tenyo Kubadinov. Zhelyazko Buzin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Stoil Zachev came out and tried to block the shot, but Zhelyazko Buzin slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 69th minute. After a rather tough play, Chelsea FC's Temelko Smochevski got a free kick in the 72nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zlatko Duhtev in the 74th minute of play forced Belasitsa's goalkeeper Stoil Zachev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filippo Cappucci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Slavey Pedev, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Petyo Kaldarúmov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st minute, Zlatko Duhtev fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Belasitsa's Stoil Zachev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zlatko Duhtev in the 84th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Zlatko Duhtev had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stoil Zachev. Belasitsa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zlatko Duhtev was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. In the 93rd minute, Zlatko Duhtev got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
