The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute Kiril Mushkov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filippo Cappucci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mircho Ralev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Filippo Cappucci made a huge save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Nayden Simidchiev made the kick off in the second half. If Tzenko Palahanov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. A very good chance. Ivaylo Tzikov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zhelyazko Buzin in the 96th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Chelsea FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
