Hristiyan Milakiev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lachezar Bratinov in the 32nd minute of play. FC Morski Varna's Walery Czeberowski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save FC Morski Varna from getting a goal against them. Kataluncite's Hristiyan Milakiev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lachezar Bratinov in the 36th minute of play. After 37 minutes, Yordan Cheshirkov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kataluncite and the FC Morski Varna players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FC Morski Varna booed when Kataluncite was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yordan Cheshirkov didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diyan Lapadatov in the 42nd minute of play forced Kataluncite's goalkeeper Hristiyan Milakiev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rosen Tzalev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nano Vútev to make the kick off. FC Morski Varna's Lachezar Bratinov got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Lachezar Bratinov managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Morski Varna's supporters rose to their feet, but Lachezar Bratinov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hristiyan Milakiev breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hristiyan Milakiev made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Lachezar Bratinov sent off a good shot on target. Walery Czeberowski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Walery Czeberowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christodoulos Koutsodimos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee showed Diyan Lapadatov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Diyan Lapadatov hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
