Yanaki Gorbanov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 13th minute, Zhivko Peyanski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC GRANIT fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Zhivko Peyanski's late challenge caught a FC Ботев's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zhivko Peyanski helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to FC GRANIT getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Zhivko Peyanski hit a great ball. Pantaley Musakov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Germain Tissandier made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Tomislav Shirkov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yanaki Gorbanov was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. When Omurtag Notov fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC GRANIT's protests and gave Omurtag Notov a yellow card for diving instead. In the 31st minute, Omurtag Notov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute Haralampi Maystorov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yanaki Gorbanov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, FC Ботев's goal looked a bit too open when Tomislav Shirkov came free, but Yanaki Gorbanov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benislav Ralchovski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half FC GRANIT were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Haralampi Maystorov was the one to do the kick off. Yanaki Gorbanov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomislav Shirkov in the 53rd minute of the match. Blagoy Ogoyski hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. 0-5 came in the 73rd minute when Haralampi Maystorov all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Yanaki Gorbanov. Bozhin Mavrodinov made in the 76th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC GRANIT's Blagoy Ogoyski. Germain Tissandier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pavel Súlov in the 78th minute of the match. With a little luck, FC Ботев's Yanaki Gorbanov got control of the ball when Yoto Dzherekarov tried to sneak it across the goal line. Yanaki Gorbanov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tervel Keremidchiev, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Tervel Keremidchiev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. When Vidyo Variyski fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC GRANIT's protests and gave Vidyo Variyski a yellow card for diving instead. Vidyo Variyski hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
