In the 12th minute Eliseo Arnuero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimir Doykin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Totyo Koshtrov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vladimir Doykin was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaac Lawrence in the 31st minute of play forced FC Shadows's goalkeeper Mehmet Akif Ersoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isaac Lawrence in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mehmet Akif Ersoy saved FC Shadows from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Totyo Koshtrov in the 36th minute of play forced Novoselo's goalkeeper Vladimir Doykin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isaac Lawrence fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehmet Akif Ersoy having to interfere. Totyo Koshtrov took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vladimir Doykin. Vladimir Doykin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Mehmet Akif Ersoy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isaac Lawrence, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half FC Shadows were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Isaac Lawrence made a kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Novoselo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bone Zhablyanov to maneuver through the defense. FC Shadows's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gyuro Gergov in the 54th minute. The supporters of Novoselo booed when FC Shadows was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zlatko Temelakiev didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vladimir Doykin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Totyo Koshtrov, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gyuro Gergov during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
