The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Nacho Golev the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of NIKOLA FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Nacho Golev had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The supporters of odrin-89 booed when NIKOLA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nacho Golev didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Dobromir Strelyov managed to get in a good position for a shot. odrin-89's supporters rose to their feet, but Dobromir Strelyov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dobromir Panagonov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dobromir Panagonov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vihren Prúvchev, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 20 minutes into the game, Vihren Prúvchev cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Dobromir Panagonov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. NIKOLA FC's Dobromir Panagonov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vihren Prúvchev in the 24th minute of play. Jozef Slobodník fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergey Skerlev having to interfere. Krasen Hadzhistefanov who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Sergey Skerlev when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 29th match minute, NIKOLA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Krasen Hadzhistefanov to maneuver through the defense. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind odrin-89's goalkeeper Sergey Skerlev, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in NIKOLA FC's zone, Vihren Prúvchev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dobromir Panagonov came out of the goal and Vihren Prúvchev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Krasen Hadzhistefanov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anani Kiselkov to make the kick off. A collision led to NIKOLA FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Donyo Kusev hit a great ball. 54 minutes into the match, NIKOLA FC's goalkeeper Dobromir Panagonov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vihren Prúvchev. After 61 minutes of play, NIKOLA FC's Krasen Hadzhistefanov made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sergey Skerlev was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dobromir Panagonov was a little too slow when Anani Kiselkov got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 65th minute. The score was now 1-2. 71 minutes into the game, Teofan Genchovski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Sergey Skerlev was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 76th minute of the match, Tihomir Kraynev got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dobromir Panagonov was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 76 minutes into the match, NIKOLA FC's goalkeeper Dobromir Panagonov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vihren Prúvchev. Dobromir Panagonov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haralampi Alashki, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. If Vihren Prúvchev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. odrin-89 were furious when Petar Hubchev was red carded, 88 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 90th minute there was a penalty for NIKOLA FC. Donyo Kusev stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Sergey Skerlev. 3-2. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. NIKOLA FC were victorious despite being under pressure from odrin-89 for much of the match.
