Lilko Albachki hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in AC Red Bull Stars's zone, José Maria da Cunha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vasko Mandev came out of the goal and José Maria da Cunha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. AC Red Bull Stars's Vasko Mandev proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save AC Red Bull Stars from getting a goal against them. Vasko Mandev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristi Cicortaș, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the match, FC CORK CITY's goal looked a bit too open when Magne Hansson came free, but Siim Übi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vasko Mandev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristi Cicortaș in the 30th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the game, FC CORK CITY's Kamel Messina nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-1.

In the 52nd minute Pendekar Bödör shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Siim Übi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
