Filcho Golemanov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Prokopi Múdrov made a huge save. The AC Red Bull Stars fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when AC Red Bull Stars's Magne Hansson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Prokopi Múdrov came out of the goal and Galin Velikin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Molde United's Prokopi Múdrov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Molde United from getting a goal against them. Molde United's Mirolyub Gradinarski got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Filcho Golemanov got free with Prokopi Múdrov in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 39th minute, AC Red Bull Stars's Pendekar Bödör dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Magne Hansson to make the kick off. Magne Hansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Prokopi Múdrov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filcho Golemanov in the 55th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Pendekar Bödör managed to get in a good position for a shot. AC Red Bull Stars's supporters rose to their feet, but Pendekar Bödör was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Prokopi Múdrov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stiliyan Kiselichkov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prokopi Múdrov having to interfere. Nikifor Dulev kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Stiliyan Kiselichkov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antoan Hristov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Vasko Mandev made a huge save. Molde United's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nikola Kalúchev in the 92nd minute. AC Red Bull Stars's Vasko Mandev proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save AC Red Bull Stars from getting a goal against them.
