Yulian Voynov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petko Búzovski, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Gercho Vodenicharski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Borislav Somlev in the 33rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petko Búzovski in the 39th minute of play forced CSKA HEROES BULGARIA's goalkeeper Yulian Voynov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Borislav Somlev in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gercho Vodenicharski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Borislav Somlev might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gercho Vodenicharski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Borislav Somlev ran back to his position shaking his head. Borislav Somlev struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Gercho Vodenicharski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CSKA HEROES BULGARIA. After the first half FC Sarniza were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Borislav Somlev stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, one of FC Sarniza:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Sarniza. In the 53rd minute there was a penalty for CSKA HEROES BULGARIA. Yonko Búrnev stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gercho Vodenicharski. 2-2.
