Tinko Yashov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, FC Plovdiv City's Vladko Vulev got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Tinko Yashov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ilko Drashanski, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Tinko Yashov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Piotr Klawke, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. When Nildo de Sousa fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Plovdiv City's protests and gave Nildo de Sousa a yellow card for diving instead. If Martin Villascuerna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to FC Plovdiv City getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Strahil Kertev hit a great ball. If Victorino Diaz Montero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Francis Coignard stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to AXi getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Nedko Shtúrbanov hit a great ball. In the 56th minute Francis Coignard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Konstantin Dobrinski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francis Coignard took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Konstantin Dobrinski. Konstantin Dobrinski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 59th match minute, AXi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Villascuerna to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th minute Velizar Tarinski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Konstantin Dobrinski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tinko Yashov stood somewhat misplaced when Ilko Drashanski came free in front of goal and shot 1-2 to the left of him in the 61 minute. In the 72nd match minute, FC Plovdiv City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Strahil Kertev to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Ilko Drashanski put it in 1-4 from a short distance just to the right of Tinko Yashov. The supporters of FC Plovdiv City booed when AXi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Villascuerna didn't get a good kick on the ball. AXi's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
