In the 6th minute of the match ФК Цомбомания got a corner. Loko Plovdiv's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Gaxan ran over to the corner to take the kick. 8 minutes into the match, ФК Цомбомания's Faik Togay sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vladimir Tomanov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Faik Togay in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vladimir Tomanov saved Loko Plovdiv from getting behind. Faik Togays short, quick shot in the 13thth minute got Vladimir Tomanov to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Frasco Morales stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nacho Barbutski's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Faik Togay in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vladimir Tomanov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Genadi Ahmakov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Frasco Morales tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Dave Schwerdt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Faik Togay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute, Nacho Barbutski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Loko Plovdiv fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After 32 minutes of play, Loko Plovdiv's Nacho Barbutski made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Frasco Morales was left in no man's land by his defense there! Faik Togay who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Vladimir Tomanov when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to ФК Цомбомания getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Romeo Bărnuțiu hit a great ball. Frasco Morales showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nacho Barbutski in the 40th minute of the match. With his leg Vladimir Tomanov managed to avoid a goal in the 41stth minute, when ФК Цомбомания's Faik Togay fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, ФК Цомбомания's Romeo Bărnuțiu got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Loko Plovdiv's Stancho Vunov was substituted for Vencho Zlatarev. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Loko Plovdiv's supporters rose to their feet, but Nacho Barbutski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. ФК Цомбомания's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
