Spectators: 8515 (Terracing: 6387, Seating: 1958, VIP seats: 170) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Hristofor Dundov made the kick off which started today's match. CSKA's Marcus Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hayyam Dizdar in the 7th minute of play. Zlatko Pipkov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gianfranco D'Angelo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 9 minutes into the match, Zungilibab's goal looked a bit too open when Gianfranco D'Angelo came free, but Zlatko Pipkov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th minute, Stoyan Dushkin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zlatko Pipkov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tzoko Shotorov in the 11th minute of play. Tzoko Shotorov scored 0-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zlatko Pipkov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marcus Taffarel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aleko Mitovski in the 35th minute. CSKA's Fabrizio Tripodi was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Zlatko Pipkov in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Zlatko Pipkov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gianfranco D'Angelo in the 42nd minute of the match. Adrian Drăgoescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zlatko Pipkov having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Aleko Mitovski made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Samuil Bibin in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcus Taffarel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Hayyam Dizdar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute Aleko Mitovski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Fabrizio Tripodi could shoot a difficult shot in the 68th minute, which Zlatko Pipkov however easily saved by the left post. Zlatko Pipkov came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by CSKA's Tzoko Shotorov. But to his dismay, Tzoko Shotorov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Samuil Bibin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Marcus Taffarel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sven-Oskar Bergqvist hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute Samuil Bibin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Zungilibab's goalkeeper Zlatko Pipkov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabrizio Tripodi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aleko Mitovski in the 88th minute of play forced CSKA's goalkeeper Marcus Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Zungilibab's zone, Gianfranco D'Angelo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zlatko Pipkov came out of the goal and Gianfranco D'Angelo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
