CSKA Ignat's Toshko Zmiyarov got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Acho Búrzin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rayko Milkovski in the 18th minute of play. Acho Búrzin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erramun Folgueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rayko Milkovski in the 22nd minute of play forced CSKA Ignat's goalkeeper Acho Búrzin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Acho Búrzin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rayko Milkovski, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Acho Búrzin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Preslav Maradzhiev in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Erramun Folgueira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Acho Búrzin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Acho Búrzin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nenko Maev made a kick off.
