The crowd rose to their feet as Inter Miami's Zapryan Patzov slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hector Rougemont. That made the score 2-0 after 14 minutes of play. In the 17th minute, Zbigniew Ruzicki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hector Rougemont made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zapryan Patzov in the 18th minute. Zapryan Patzovs short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Hector Rougemont to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Zapryan Patzov who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Hector Rougemont when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Zapryan Patzov put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Hector Rougemont. In the 33rd minute Brion Valverde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hector Rougemont saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led Inter Miami's Zapryan Patzov to fire away a dangerous shot which Hector Rougemont despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dinko Chandrev to make the kick off. With a little luck, Inter Miami's Zdzislaw Chwalkiewicz got control of the ball when Olaf Poniewaz tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 69th minute, Brion Valverde made a precise shot to the right of Hector Rougemont. SKYTEAM's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. After 73 minutes of play, Inter Miami's Zapryan Patzov made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hector Rougemont was left in no man's land by his defense there! SKYTEAM's Hector Rougemont played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brion Valverde in the 77th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 78th minute of the game. One of SKYTEAM:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Inter Miami:s goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zapryan Patzov in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hector Rougemont saved SKYTEAM from getting behind. Brion Valverde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Hector Rougemont tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Stavri Gyumyushev fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SKYTEAM's protests and gave Stavri Gyumyushev a yellow card for diving instead. In the 97th match minute, SKYTEAM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stavri Gyumyushev to maneuver through the defense. Brion Valverde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Inter Miami fully deserved thier win.
