Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Peycho Zheynov in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hector Rougemont prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Venko Devenski scored 0-2 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hector Rougemont, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. SKYTEAM's Hector Rougemont played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peycho Zheynov in the 13th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Venko Devenski put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Hector Rougemont. If Peycho Zheynov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the SKYTEAM defense, Peycho Zheynov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hector Rougemont. The SKYTEAM fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hector Rougemont should have stopped the shot. Venko Devenski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Zheko Ananiev managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC LEVSKI ОК's supporters rose to their feet, but Zheko Ananiev was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hector Rougemont breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 28th minute, Venko Devenski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Venko Devenski in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hector Rougemont saved SKYTEAM from getting behind. Hector Rougemont showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Venko Devenski, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After some careless play in the SKYTEAM defense, Venko Devenski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hector Rougemont. The SKYTEAM fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hector Rougemont should have stopped the shot. Hector Rougemont made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Venko Devenski in the 40th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-8 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Hector Rougemont showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Venko Devenski in the 53rd minute of the match. The supporters of FC LEVSKI ОК booed when SKYTEAM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yanko Stoitzov didn't get a good kick on the ball.
