Spectators: 8403 (Terracing: 6303, Seating: 1932, VIP seats: 168) Fabio Kanavaros made the kick off and thus started the match. Vilhelm Palonen made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Dimcho Skachkov sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Lighters getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Tzeno Nanev hit a great ball. Lighters's Grigor Ruski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabio Kanavaros in the 11th minute of play. After 12 played minutes Lighters got a freekick which was hit by Stiliyan Dzhorgov. In the 12th minute, Fabio Kanavaros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabio Kanavaros in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Grigor Ruski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Grigor Ruski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nedko Vatov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nedko Vatov took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Grigor Ruski. Grigor Ruski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lighters's goalkeeper Grigor Ruski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Yanaki Doykin hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Lighters's Dimcho Skachkov got a free kick in the 36th minute. 43 minutes into the match, Lighters's goal looked a bit too open when Fabio Kanavaros came free, but Grigor Ruski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Lighters's goal looked a bit too open when Evstati Kiradzhiyski came free, but Grigor Ruski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Nedko Vatov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tzeno Nanev to make the kick off. Lighters's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evstati Kiradzhiyski in the 56th minute of play forced Lighters's goalkeeper Grigor Ruski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 63 minutes into the game, FC Gurbanovtsi's Evstati Kiradzhiyski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Grigor Ruski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Viden Davchev kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After 66 minutes, Gerasim Slabakov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lighters and the FC Gurbanovtsi players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 66th minute of the game. One of Lighters:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Gurbanovtsi:s goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Evstati Kiradzhiyski kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Grigor Ruski. That made the score 0-3 in the 81 minute of play. FC Gurbanovtsi's Vilhelm Palonen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tzeno Nanev in the 85th minute of play. Grigor Ruski came out of the goal and Evstati Kiradzhiyski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Evstati Kiradzhiyski in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Grigor Ruski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. FC Gurbanovtsi played a much better game than Lighters and deserved their victory. The Lighters players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
