Neycho Madin ran back to his position shaking his head. Avgust Chakalski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vilhelm Palonen having to interfere. 73 minutes into the game, Nedko Vatov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Gurbanovtsi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PFC Neftochimic Burgas the free kick. If Fabio Kanavaros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vilhelm Palonen made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Kliment Kozovski sent off a good shot on target. 86 minutes into the match, FC Gurbanovtsi's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuil Milovanov came free, but Vilhelm Palonen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The FC Gurbanovtsi fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. PFC Neftochimic Burgas were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
