Spectators: 8285 (Terracing: 6200, Seating: 1934, VIP seats: 151) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Fabio Kanavaros kicked off to start the match. A collision led to FC Gurbanovtsi getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Dobrin Dinev hit a great ball. The audience held their breath when Timur Achuev in the 8th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Denimir Bebin's left hand side. Denimir Bebin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nedko Vatov, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Vilhelm Palonen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from İlbey Denizalp in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th match minute, EK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by İlbey Denizalp to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 18 minutes, İlbey Denizalp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EK's supporters crossed their fingers, but İlbey Denizalp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. FC Gurbanovtsi were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after EK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Timur Achuev took the corner. FC Gurbanovtsi's Timur Achuev was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Denimir Bebin in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Timur Achuev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Gurbanovtsi's Nedko Vatov slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Denimir Bebin. That made the score 1-0 after 33 minutes of play. Vilhelm Palonen came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by EK's Cido Fernandez. But to his dismay, Cido Fernandez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Nedko Vatov kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. When Cido Fernandez came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the EK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cido Fernandez couldn't finish the play. İlbey Denizalp kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Timur Achuev got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vladislav Dzhalev stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the match, EK's goal looked a bit too open when Fabio Kanavaros came free, but Denimir Bebin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Kanavaros in the 64th minute of play forced EK's goalkeeper Denimir Bebin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, EK's Vilhelm Palonen threw himself towards the right post 66 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vladislav Dzhalev, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 67th minute Nedko Vatov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denimir Bebin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Denimir Bebin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Kanavaros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 75 minutes into the match, EK's goal looked a bit too open when Nedko Vatov came free, but Denimir Bebin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vilhelm Palonen was out of position in the 76 minute of play, and Vladislav Dzhalev capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Vladislav Dzhalev really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Nedko Vatov kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Cido Fernandez took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Vilhelm Palonen to make any attempt to save it. 82 minutes into the game, Cido Fernandez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Vilhelm Palonen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 87 minutes into the match, EK's goal looked a bit too open when Evstati Kiradzhiyski came free, but Denimir Bebin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, FC Gurbanovtsi's goal looked a bit too open when İlbey Denizalp came free, but Vilhelm Palonen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute, Cido Fernandez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vilhelm Palonen was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. In the 95th minute Evstati Kiradzhiyski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denimir Bebin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. EK were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over FC Gurbanovtsi's much stronger midfield.
