Maksim Kindekov made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Todor Sivov sent off a good shot on target. Todor Sivov received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Maksim Kindekov came out and tried to block the shot, but Todor Sivov slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 11th minute. Maksim Kindekov made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Todor Sivov sent off a good shot on target. Maksim Kindekov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Todor Sivov's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Nencho Radionov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julio-César Hernandez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kaloyan Cheriyski struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Maksim Kindekov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Железничар. 27 minutes into the match, ПФК Ботев Пловдив's goalkeeper Maksim Kindekov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Todor Sivov. Nencho Radionov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bastian Caes's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Strahil Dashovski hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. If Todor Sivov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bastian Caes was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes ПФК Ботев Пловдив got a freekick which was hit by Bastian Caes. Bastian Caes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bastian Caes in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nencho Radionov saved Железничар from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Kaloyan Cheriyski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Железничар's supporters rose to their feet, but Kaloyan Cheriyski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maksim Kindekov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to ПФК Ботев Пловдив getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Jerrick Wigger hit a great ball. Maksim Kindekov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Todor Sivov's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. The audience was convinced that Todor Sivov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maksim Kindekov was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. 69 minutes into the match, ПФК Ботев Пловдив's goal looked a bit too open when Kaimo Hunt came free, but Maksim Kindekov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute Kaloyan Cheriyski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maksim Kindekov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 72 minutes into the game, Железничар's Kaimo Hunt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maksim Kindekov made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Todor Sivov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. ПФК Ботев Пловдив's Maksim Kindekov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Todor Sivov in the 79th minute of play. In the 79th match minute, ПФК Ботев Пловдив was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Strahil Dashovski to maneuver through the defense. Kaloyan Cheriyski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Maksim Kindekov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of ПФК Ботев Пловдив booed when Железничар was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Todor Sivov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bastian Caes in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nencho Radionov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Железничар's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
