The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With an all-out effort, Botev Plovdiv 1912's Izydor Gongolewicz threw himself towards the right post 9 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Kajetan Daszkowski, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Kajetan Daszkowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Izydor Gongolewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kajetan Daszkowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Izydor Gongolewicz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kajetan Daszkowski in the 15th minute. Christian Bale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ventzislav Boshnakov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute Levski were awarded a corner. Sergey Kaloyanov went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Levski's Sergey Kaloyanov to fire away a dangerous shot which Christian Bale despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of Levski booed when Botev Plovdiv 1912 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Di Kun didn't get a good kick on the ball. Levski's Izydor Gongolewicz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Levski from getting a goal against them. If Di Kun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Levski's Izydor Gongolewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kajetan Daszkowski in the 28th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Kajetan Daszkowski put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Izydor Gongolewicz. In the 33rdth minute of the game Milko Chakmakov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Botev Plovdiv 1912's Christian Bale was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Botev Plovdiv 1912's Di Kun slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Izydor Gongolewicz. That made the score 2-1 after 40 minutes of play. In the 44th minute of the game Benigno Bingen made a throw-in which Przemyslaw Trynda played forward. 46 minutes into the game, Botev Plovdiv 1912's Moises Blasi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Izydor Gongolewicz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Milko Chakmakov made the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Botev Plovdiv 1912 got a freekick which was hit by Billy Borre. A well-hit corner resulted in Naycho Gilishtarov heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Di Kun in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Izydor Gongolewicz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Di Kun's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Izydor Gongolewicz was relentless in the 94th minute of the game.
