In the 7th minute, Eero Grönholm left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Grivata fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Grivata's goalkeeper Thomas Sørensen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eero Grönholm in the 16th minute of play forced LIGHTNING's goalkeeper Agesilaus Michalaras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the match, FC Grivata's goalkeeper Thomas Sørensen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ilixo Abeita. Slavey Kozovski hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. FC Grivata's defense didn't have a chance, in the 19th minute, when 邱悦弘 scored to the left of an out of position Thomas Sørensen, making the score, 1-2. Eero Grönholm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Trendafil Tashevski sped through LIGHTNING's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Agesilaus Michalaras. Agesilaus Michalaras came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Grivata's Eero Grönholm. But to his dismay, Eero Grönholm quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. 43 minutes into the match, Eero Grönholm notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of LIGHTNING's Agesilaus Michalaras. Agesilaus Michalaras was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Agesilaus Michalaras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Slavey Kozovski, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The LIGHTNING players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Grivata were winning 1-5.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eero Grönholm to make the kick off. Agesilaus Michalaras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eero Grönholm in the 51st minute of the match. Kristian Brolin lost his temper 52 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 51 minutes into the game, one of FC Grivata:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 53rd minute there was a penalty for LIGHTNING. 邱悦弘 stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Thomas Sørensen. 2-5. In the 58th match minute, LIGHTNING was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Velislav Hlebarov to maneuver through the defense. FC Grivata's Eero Grönholm couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 58th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for LIGHTNING. Thomas Sørensen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathias Vestberg in the 61st minute of play. 62 minutes into the game, Ivan Petkov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Grivata's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LIGHTNING the free kick. Thomas Sørensen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ilixo Abeita in the 63rd minute of play. Agesilaus Michalaras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trendafil Tashevski, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Agesilaus Michalaras didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arhangel Vergov went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-6 was the resulting score. Trendafil Tashevski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Agesilaus Michalaras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Agesilaus Michalaras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonio Dino, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. FC Grivata were awarded a corner in the 74th minute after LIGHTNING's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eero Grönholm took the corner. The corner led FC Grivata's Eero Grönholm to fire away a dangerous shot which Agesilaus Michalaras despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.
