Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hendro Alexander in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vitko Hadzhiiliev prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Chen Yi Ran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 10 minutes into the game, Cezary Lewkowicz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Kyustendil's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SPARROWS the free kick. In the 10th match minute, FC Kyustendil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cezary Lewkowicz to maneuver through the defense. After 14 minutes, Lennox Lewis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Kyustendil and the SPARROWS players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 14th minute, Lennox Lewis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Keilor Navas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Saraiva in the 16th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lionel Haaland in the 24th minute of play forced FC Kyustendil's goalkeeper Keilor Navas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Keilor Navas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rayko Tzolovski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The throw-in from Simeon Paspalev in the 29th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by FC Kyustendil's Lu Ling. Vitko Hadzhiiliev was a little too slow when Hendro Alexander got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 1-0. FC Kyustendil's Keilor Navas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chen Yi Ran in the 36th minute of play. In the 40th minute of the match SPARROWS got a corner. FC Kyustendil's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. André Saraiva ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that André Saraiva got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Keilor Navas quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Keilor Navas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lionel Haaland, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conny Gudmundsson in the 46th minute of play forced FC Kyustendil's goalkeeper Keilor Navas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute Chen Yi Ran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keilor Navas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oskar Lindqvist to make the kick off. Vitko Hadzhiiliev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Martines in the 52nd minute of the match. 53 minutes into the match, FC Kyustendil's goal looked a bit too open when Aan 周瑜 came free, but Keilor Navas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lautaro Martines sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chen Yi Ran got free with Keilor Navas in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Keilor Navas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lionel Haaland in the 64th minute. If Chen Yi Ran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Hendro Alexander managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Kyustendil's supporters rose to their feet, but Hendro Alexander was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vitko Hadzhiiliev breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Keilor Navas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lionel Haaland in the 75th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as SPARROWS's Lionel Haaland slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Keilor Navas. That made the score 1-1 after 81 minutes of play. FC Kyustendil's Keilor Navas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save FC Kyustendil from getting a goal against them. FC Kyustendil's Keilor Navas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lionel Haaland in the 85th minute of play. The supporters of SPARROWS booed when FC Kyustendil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lautaro Martines didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lionel Haaland scored 1-2 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Keilor Navas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Keilor Navas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conny Gudmundsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hendro Alexander in the 94th minute of play forced SPARROWS's goalkeeper Vitko Hadzhiiliev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Hendro Alexander came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the FC Kyustendil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hendro Alexander couldn't finish the play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. SPARROWS walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
