Lyuboslav Fudulov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Pirates. The supporters of FC Pirates booed when Victory FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gervasio Teyo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Flaa in the 11th minute of play forced Victory FC's goalkeeper Lyuboslav Fudulov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes had been played when some careless play by Victory FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Toma Drashanski was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Pirates's players had a chance to rest. Ognyan Pironkov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomislav Batakliev in the 14th minute of play. In the 17th minute Tomislav Batakliev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ognyan Pironkov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peter Flaa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lyuboslav Fudulov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. After some careless play in the FC Pirates defense, Tomislav Batakliev kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ognyan Pironkov. The FC Pirates fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ognyan Pironkov should have stopped the shot. Victory FC's Lyuboslav Fudulov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Flaa in the 31st minute of play. Lyuboslav Fudulov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Flaa, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Peter Flaa in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lyuboslav Fudulov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Peter Flaa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Peter Flaa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lyuboslav Fudulov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Victory FC's Tzolo Marchovski was substituted for Laureano Medina. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomislav Batakliev was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Victory FC's goalkeeper Lyuboslav Fudulov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Peter Flaa. Gervasio Teyo made in the 58th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC Pirates's Matey Bochkov. Lyuboslav Fudulov made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Peter Flaa sent off a good shot on target. Boyko Koynov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ognyan Pironkov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Victory FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Leif Håkansson in the 68th minute. Leif Håkansson made a great header on Victory FC's corner, it was just that FC Pirates's Ognyan Pironkov managed to reach the ball for a save. 71 minutes into the match, FC Pirates's goal looked a bit too open when Boyko Koynov came free, but Ognyan Pironkov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ognyan Pironkov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tzolo Marchovski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 93 minutes into the game, Boyko Koynov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Ognyan Pironkov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Victory FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC Pirates had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
