The audience thought a goal was coming when Izydor Jajesniak got free with Zhecho Tomev in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tenyo Muskurov made in the 6th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Izydor Jajesniak however managed to control. FC Arsenal Varna's Zhecho Tomev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Dos Santos in the 11th minute of play. Lyuben Vlaykovski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rosen Penchovski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luo Feng having to interfere. Zhecho Tomev made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodd Lockwood in the 28th minute. Luo Feng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rosen Penchovski in the 29th minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Rodd Lockwood left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Нотингам fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Rosen Penchovski made the kick off in the second half. Peep Jüriöö hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 52nd minute, Hristo Zlatanchev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zhecho Tomev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodd Lockwood in the 58th minute of the match. Zhecho Tomev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodd Lockwood, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Нотингам's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gazi Şahruh in the 72nd minute. The corner led Нотингам's Gazi Şahruh to fire away a dangerous shot which Zhecho Tomev despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.
