The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th match minute, ФК Созополи was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodor Gheordunescu to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Capricorn booed when ФК Созополи was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anton Shapkarov didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the game, Valcho Denchev recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lilko Dúrov. Valcho Denchev showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toshko Mihailov in the 24th minute of play forced Capricorn's goalkeeper Stoycho Guslekov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute, Toshko Mihailov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stoycho Guslekov was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 30th minute, Toshko Mihailov made a precise shot to the right of Stoycho Guslekov. Capricorn's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Pantaley Mironov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stoycho Guslekov having to interfere. In the 35th minute of the match, Sergey Derventski tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lilko Dúrov saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Sergey Derventski hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. 39 minutes into the match, Capricorn's goal looked a bit too open when Toshko Mihailov came free, but Stoycho Guslekov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stoycho Guslekov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toshko Mihailov, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Pantaley Mironov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stoycho Guslekov having to interfere. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roman Masov made a kick off. Lilko Dúrov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roman Masov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anton Shapkarov during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 56 played minutes ФК Созополи got a freekick which was hit by Anton Shapkarov. Capricorn's Valcho Denchev was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lilko Dúrov in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 62 minutes into the match, ФК Созополи's Zdravko Artúkov broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. ФК Созополи's Samuil Bozev was substituted for Jean-Sébastien Nedellec. 74 minutes into the match, Capricorn's goal looked a bit too open when Toshko Mihailov came free, but Stoycho Guslekov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valcho Denchev scored 2-3 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lilko Dúrov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. ФК Созополи's Pantaley Mironov quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Stancho Razlozhki, made in the 78th minute of the game. In the 79th minute, Capricorn's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Pantaley Mironov fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Stoycho Guslekov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toshko Mihailov in the 83rd minute of the match. ФК Созополи were awarded a corner in the 84th minute after Capricorn's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Zdravko Artúkov took the corner. When Toshko Mihailov came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the ФК Созополи fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Toshko Mihailov couldn't finish the play. ФК Созополи's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
