The FC CSKA fans' excitement grew in the 6th match minute when FC CSKA's Ahmet Refik Ülgü looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 9 minutes into the game, Ahmet Refik Ülgü recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ni Guang Yong. Ahmet Refik Ülgü showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. 11 minutes into the match, FC CSKA's goal looked a bit too open when Denílson 慕容 came free, but Georgi Velinov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Refik Ülgü in the 12th minute of play forced Бенковски Тетевен's goalkeeper Ni Guang Yong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Denílson 慕容's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Georgi Velinov was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. FC CSKA's Georgi Velinov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisc Turcu in the 38th minute of play. Бенковски Тетевен's Ni Guang Yong proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Бенковски Тетевен from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, FC CSKA's Ronaldinho de Carvalho got a free kick in the 45th minute. With a little luck, Бенковски Тетевен's Ni Guang Yong got control of the ball when Arnulfo Roderigo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half Бенковски Тетевен were leading 2-3. Ni Guang Yong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Refik Ülgü in the 71st minute of the match.
