To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 94 minutes into the game, one of Clapham:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nikolaj Gogava got free with Otar Arveladze in the 98th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Malton's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
