Khobuli Torotadze's late challenge caught a Bacup's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Khobuli Torotadze helped the player get up and apologised. After 10 played minutes FC Zestafoni got a freekick which was hit by Khobuli Torotadze. Bidzina Magalov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 20 minutes into the match, Bacup's goal looked a bit too open when Egos Sordia came free, but Bidzina Jandieri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Djojiki Machaidze took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Goderdzi Mingrelsky, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bacup's Botchia Machaidze got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Sergey Jandieri fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Zestafoni's protests and gave Sergey Jandieri a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd minute, Sergey Jandieri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Goderdzi Mingrelsky's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Djojiki Machaidze read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Egos Sordia in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bidzina Jandieri saved Bacup from getting behind. Botchia Machaidze struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Djojiki Machaidze didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bacup. When Goderdzi Mingrelsky came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Bacup fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Goderdzi Mingrelsky couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Botchia Machaidze recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egos Sordia in the 69th minute of play forced Bacup's goalkeeper Bidzina Jandieri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Egos Sordia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bidzina Jandieri having to interfere. Djojiki Machaidze made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Goderdzi Mingrelsky in the 80th minute of play. Egos Sordia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Egos Sordia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bidzina Jandieri having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Bidzina Magalov put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Bidzina Jandieri. FC Zestafoni's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
