Danbury's Semen Sulaberidze played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Liparit Sulakvidze in the 19th minute of play. Liparit Sulakvidze sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Liparit Sulakvidze hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Antonis Rodis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Antonis Rodis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Portsmouth's Zviadi Jachvadze got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Davit Andrzheevskiy kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Antonis Rodis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipp Pozharskiy having to interfere. After some careless play in the Portsmouth defense, Hacı Sorgun kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Filipp Pozharskiy . The Portsmouth fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Filipp Pozharskiy should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Antonis Rodis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Filipp Pozharskiy was relentless in the 41st minute of the game.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Liparit Sulakvidze was the one to do the kick off. If Davit Andrzheevskiy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 56 in the game by Antonis Rodis from a close distance when the talented Filipp Pozharskiy managed to make a qualified save. Portsmouth's players were relieved. In the 66th minute of the match Vadim Alania sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Semen Sulaberidze skillfully saved the ball. In the 67th minute, Antonis Rodis fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Filipp Pozharskiy made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Kaido Hõlpus sent off a good shot on target. Portsmouth's Filipp Pozharskiy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Portsmouth from getting a goal against them. The Danbury fans' excitement grew in the 75th match minute when Danbury's Antonis Rodis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 83rd minute Zviadi Jachvadze shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Semen Sulaberidze saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Danbury's Tshalkhia Pulishvili was substituted for Antonis Rodis. Tshalkhia Pulishvili received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Filipp Pozharskiy came out and tried to block the shot, but Tshalkhia Pulishvili slotted it home off the left post making it 1-6 in the 89th minute. If Tshalkhia Pulishvili had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 94th minute, Illarion Goloviznin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
