Marat Podolyakin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Soso Nad came out and tried to block the shot, but Marat Podolyakin slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 4th minute. After 8 played minutes Godalming City got a freekick which was hit by Sachino Mkheidze. If Liparit Salia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tsotne Paghava in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Uta Pawletko prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Liparit Salia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uta Pawletko having to interfere. When Tsotne Paghava came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Godalming City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tsotne Paghava couldn't finish the play. Liparit Salia struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Uta Pawletko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Godalming City. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Godalming City's goalkeeper Soso Nad, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tsotne Paghava fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uta Pawletko having to interfere. Mindia Pilievi hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Liparit Salia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Uta Pawletko read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. If Marat Podolyakin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marat Podolyakin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Liparit Salia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uta Pawletko having to interfere. Tsotne Paghavas short, quick shot in the 54thth minute got Uta Pawletko to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Soso Nad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pavel Goloviznin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Mevagissey defense, Tsotne Paghava kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Uta Pawletko. The Mevagissey fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Uta Pawletko should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Godalming City's Sachino Mkheidze got a free kick in the 66th minute. Uta Pawletko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liparit Salia in the 71st minute of play. When Tsotne Paghava came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Godalming City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tsotne Paghava couldn't finish the play. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mevagissey's goalkeeper Uta Pawletko, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Uta Pawletko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liparit Salia in the 89th minute of play. Uta Jandieri hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Pavel Goloviznin took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Soso Nad. Soso Nad dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Godalming City's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
