Dato Kikalishvili hit a great ball. Roman Machaidze made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Valeri Khatiashvili sent off a good shot on target. Botchia Pozharskiy kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Leigh United fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 23rd minute. Penalty! In the 28th minute Khristesia Arveladze shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roman Machaidze saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute, Gia Pozharskiy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 35th minute, Khristesia Arveladze fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Roman Machaidze, passed just outside the right post. Valeri Khatiashvili sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valeri Khatiashvili got free with Roman Machaidze in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Through an outstanding action, after 40 minutes, Roman Machaidze successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torgva Andrzheevskiy in the 42nd minute of play forced Harrogate FC's goalkeeper Roman Machaidze to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Harrogate FC's zone, Khristesia Arveladze stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roman Machaidze came out of the goal and Khristesia Arveladze tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Gia Pozharskiy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Harrogate FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Khristesia Arveladze to strike the kick off in the second half. Harrogate FC's Gia Pozharskiy got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 56 minutes into the match, Harrogate FC's goal looked a bit too open when Valeri Khatiashvili came free, but Roman Machaidze reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roman Machaidze showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Khristesia Arveladze, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. If Valeri Khatiashvili had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roman Machaidze didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Khristesia Arveladze went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 77 minutes of play, Leigh United's Valeri Khatiashvili made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roman Machaidze was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Leigh United's goalkeeper Takha Sulakvidze, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gia Pozharskiy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Takha Sulakvidze read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Roman Machaidze made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valeri Khatiashvili in the 89th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Leigh United's goal looked a bit too open when Gia Pozharskiy came free, but Takha Sulakvidze reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
